Company’s Purpose
The Company is established to be a charity whose principal purpose is to advance social and public welfare by undertaking activities such as:
- Advancing social and public welfare by providing aid, care, and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of all ages, financially disadvantaged individuals, people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, individuals with chronic or terminal illnesses, people with disabilities, pre- and post-release offenders and their families, unemployed persons, victims of crime (including family violence) and disaster, as well as children, youth, and adults facing illness, distress, misfortune, or other challenges.
- Provide Safe and Supported Accommodation – Offer vulnerable individuals secure, affordable housing on a short-term, long-term, emergency, or respite basis, ensuring stability and well-being.
- Empower and Include – Support individuals in building capacity, achieving independence, and fostering social inclusion through skill development, peer support networks, and access to community resources.
- Collaborate and Partner – Work with government bodies, non-profits, and community organizations to develop inclusive programs, provide financial and material support, and enhance community welfare.
- Deliver Essential Support Services – Offer disability support, including capacity building, occupational therapy, behavioural intervention, and independent living skills development, alongside community engagement initiatives.
- Advocate and Develop Social Welfare Initiatives – Provide information, advocacy, and infrastructure to support those in need, including constructing properties for charitable and community use to advance public welfare.
Make donations or provide other financial assistance to organisations (including Ideate Group) which:
Are endorsed as Deductible Gift Recipients. Have objects similar or ancillary to those set out in clause have rules which prohibit distributions of income or profits (including on a winding up) to their members; and are approved by the Directors.
To advance its mission, the organization is empowered to:
- Engage in activities essential to achieving its objectives, including entering into contracts, raising funds, and forming partnerships.
- Implement programs and initiatives that directly contribute to social welfare, such as education, healthcare, and community support services.
- Operate in alignment with its not-for-profit status, ensuring that any revenue-generating activities directly support its charitable purpose.
- Manage financial resources and investments responsibly, ensuring funds not immediately required are utilized appropriately.
- Enter into agreements with governmental or other authorities to further its mission and secure rights, privileges, grants, or concessions beneficial to the organization.
- Appoint, remove, or suspend directors, managers, and other personnel as necessary for achieving its objectives.
- Construct, maintain, and modify buildings or infrastructure required for its operations.
- Acquire, lease, or exchange land, buildings, and properties for organizational use.
- Compensate individuals or entities for services related to the company’s formation, promotion, or operations.
- Manage assets, including selling, leasing, mortgaging, or otherwise utilizing property to secure financial obligations.
- Accept donations and gifts, including those subjects to specific trusts, in furtherance of its mission.
- Conduct fundraising efforts, such as appeals, public meetings, and campaigns, to secure donations and financial support.
- Publish and distribute materials, including books, brochures, and periodicals, to promote its objectives.
- Delegate responsibilities to committees as needed to support its activities.
- Engage in any lawful activities necessary to achieve its mission.
The Company may pursue its objectives by:
- Undertaking asset acquisition and development to enhance access to affordable, sustainable, and quality housing for those in need.
- Establishing, improving, or engaging in commercial enterprises, including real estate-related businesses, to generate revenue in support of its charitable mission.
- Providing property, information, or services to facilitate housing solutions for those in need.
- Offering properties to support corporate activities of charitable organizations.
- Carrying out any other activities that advance the organization’s purpose.
