Kids Program & Children’s Centre (Kenya)
Giving Children Safety, Care, and Hope
Many children in Kenya face abuse, neglect, homelessness, and poverty. Children with disabilities are especially vulnerable and often do not receive the support they need. Our Kids Program and Children’s Centre provides a safe place, loving care, and opportunities for a better future.
What We Provide
Our Safe Shelter provides a clean, caring, and child-friendly home for children who have been abused, abandoned, or forced to live on the streets. It is also a refuge for children with disabilities who do not receive proper care, and for those who are at risk of harm or exploitation. In our centre, every child is protected, supervised, well-nourished, and supported with access to healthcare and the essentials they need to feel safe and valued.
Disability Support
Our Disability Support program ensures that children with disabilities receive the care and attention they need to grow and thrive. We provide personal care and daily support, along with therapy and mobility aids that help each child gain confidence and independence. Every child is included in play, learning, and social activities in a way that suits their abilities. We also help children attend school or access home-based education so they can continue learning in a safe and supportive environment.
Education and Activities
We help children learn and grow through:
Our Centre helps children learn, grow, and discover their strengths through a range of educational and developmental activities. We provide early learning programs that build strong foundations, along with tutoring and school support to help children succeed in their studies. Donations & Volunteering
Q10: How can I donate?
We cannot do this work alone. To reach more individuals and strengthen our impact, we welcome collaboration with partners who share our commitment to safety, dignity, and opportunity for all children. We invite local and international NGOs, disability organisations and advocacy groups, faith-based institutions, corporate social responsibility teams, government agencies, schools, universities, community groups, and individual sponsors or donors to join us. Together, we can expand our programs, share expertise, and create lasting change for children and families who need it most.
Q: Can I volunteer?
A: Yes! We welcome volunteers in both countries.
Collaboration strengthens our impact. Together we can:
Through strong partnerships, we can grow our programs and reach more children who urgently need support. Working together allows us to expand shelter capacity, deliver specialized disability services, houses, and strengthen community protection systems that keep children safe. With the help of our partners, we can fund education and therapy programs, provide food, clothing, medical care, and essential assistive devices, and build new child-safe facilities. These collaborations also make it possible to reach more at-risk children across Kenya. Partnerships help us scale sustainably, stay grounded in community needs, and ensure that no child is left behind.

Nurturing Hope: How Positive Childhood Experiences Shape Brighter Futures
On Mashujaa Day, as the nation celebrated its heroes, our team joined hands with grassroots partners to visit Love for all Children Rescue Center. We carried boxes of food, clothes, and books but more importantly, we carried kindness, laughter, and the assurance that every child is seen and valued. What unfolded that day was more than an outreach activity. It was a reminder that positive childhood experiences (PCEs) moments of love, safety, and connection are the quiet forces that build resilience and restore hope.
The Power of Positive Childhood Experiences Every child deserves the chance to grow in an environment that nurtures belonging. For many children living in children’s homes, the simple acts we often take for granted. Being listened to, having a friend to play with, or being tucked in by a caring adult become powerful sources of healing. Positive experiences may seem small, but they carry immense psychological weight. They teach children that the world can be safe, that love can be consistent, and that they matter. These are the very experiences that help buffer the long-term effects of hardship or trauma, allowing children to rebuild trust in both themselves and others. Behind Every Smile: A Story of Strength Many children in care have lived through difficult beginnings loss, neglect, or instability that shake a child’s sense of safety. These Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can influence emotional regulation, learning, and relationships if left unaddressed. Yet behind every shy smile and curious gaze lies courage. Children possess an extraordinary capacity to recover when they are surrounded by consistency, compassion, and care. Healing doesn’t erase what they have endured; it transforms how they live beyond it. Small Actions, Lasting Impact When children feel safe and connected, something powerful happens: their hearts and minds begin to open again. Shared laughter in play strengthens social bonds. Community visits remind them they are not forgotten. These everyday moments are not merely interactions; they are building blocks of emotional strength and identity. They prove that kindness, when practiced consistently, can rewrite a child’s story. A Shared Responsibility Healing children’s hearts is not the work of a few. It is a shared responsibility of families, communities, and institutions. When we invest in safe spaces, train caregivers in trauma-informed care, and show up for children with genuine compassion, we create ripples that reach far beyond one visit or donation. Each of us can help foster positive experiences: by volunteering, mentoring, listening, and simply showing up. Change begins when communities come together with empathy and intention. One child, one story, and one solution at a time. Ideate Real Solutions: Partnering for Change At Ideate Real Solutions, we believe that sustainable transformation grows from empathy, collaboration, and shared purpose. We are committed to creating spaces where children and communities thrive — mentally, emotionally, and socially. This Mashujaa Day, our partnership with grassroots organizations reaffirmed our belief that hope is a collective effort. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, contributes to a child’s journey toward healing and growth. We invite individuals, organizations, and community leaders to partner with us in nurturing positive childhood experiences across Kenya. You can: • Support outreach initiatives through material or financial contributions. • Volunteer your time or expertise to inspire and mentor young minds.
